We all know that feeling of walking into the gym, feeling overwhelmed and probably defeated. But you mustered up the courage to use the treadmill, which probably became a text frenzy people/watching session. Welp, I'm here to tell you, that was once me too! My people watching sessions turned into light jogs that eventually turned into 15 minute paced runs. My focus began turning inward, rather than focusing on the things that were out of my control. Like the idea that people were watching me, whether or not I was doing an exercise correctly, or using the equipment the proper way. Instead I chose to ask questions and seek information about working out.
I began to fall in love with the process. The gym became my sanctuary; a place that allowed me to leave all my worries at the door and do my best thinking. But most of all, working out increased my confidence.
Now, I'm not saying that it was easy, but it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH every ounce of SWEAT.
